About Distinctive Wood Creations
Founded in 1996, Distinctive Wood Creations is a custom woodworking studio located in Middleton, Wisconsin. While others simply broker a product built in a factory, we work in the tradition of the masters, building handcrafted cabinetry and furniture with the care you deserve. As our client, we encourage you to take periodic visits through our shop to witness the progression of your masterpiece.

Owner Kurt Nachreiner attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 1981 to 1985, earning a degree in Industrial Education. Upon graduation, the decision was made to pursue a professional career in woodworking, and Nachreiner spent over ten years honing his skills at a local cabinet shop. In 1996, Distinctive Wood Creations was launched and today exists as a premier woodworking company with a combined 45 years of experience.
